बिहीबार बिहान प्रहरीले जारी गरेको विज्ञप्तिमा उक्त घटनामा सात व्यक्ति घाइते भएको जनाइएको छ । तर, विस्तृत विवरण भने दिइएको छैन ।
२० वर्षको आसपासका ती शंकास्पद व्यक्तिलाई प्रहरीले अस्पताल पुर्याएको छ । बुधबार अपराह्न भएको उक्त आक्रमणपछि प्रहरीले ती आक्रमणकारीलाई गोली हानी नियन्त्रणमा लिएको थियो ।
एएफपीसँग कुरा गर्दै प्रहरीले घटनामा ती व्यक्तिले तिखो हतियार प्रयोग गरेको जनाएको छ । प्रहरीले सुरुमा उक्त घटनालाई हत्या प्रयासको संज्ञा दिँदै शंकास्पद आतंकवादी अपराधका रुपमा अनुसन्धानलाई अगाडि बढाएको जनाएको छ ।
स्थानीय जोन्कोपिङ अस्पतालले घाइतेमध्ये तीनजना सख्त घाइते अवस्थामा रहेका तथा अन्य दुईजनाको चोट निकै गम्भीर प्रकृतिको रहेको जनाएको छ ।
पत्रकारहरुसँग कुरा गर्दै क्षेत्रीय प्रहरी प्रमुख मलेना ग्रानले उक्त आक्रमणको घटनालाई आतंकवादी आक्रमणका रूपमा लिएर अनुसन्धान भइरहेको जानकारी दिए ।
आक्रमणकारी स्थानीय व्यक्ति रहेका र विगतमा पनि सानातिना अपराधका कार्यमा संलग्न रहेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । प्रहरीले ती व्यक्ति स्वेडीस नागरिक हो वा होइन भन्नेबारेमा केही खुलाएको छैन ।
स्वेडीस प्रधानमन्त्री स्टेफान लफभेनले उक्त आक्रमणको घटनाको निन्दा गर्दै घाइतेको शीघ्र स्वास्थ्यलाभको कामना गरेका छन् ।
पछिल्ला वर्षहरुमा स्वीडेनमा आतंकवादी आक्रमणका घटना दोहोरिन थालेका छन् । सन् २०१० डिसेम्बरमा राजधानी स्टकहोममा एक व्यक्तिलाई आत्मघाती बम बोकेर हिँडिरहेको अवस्थामा प्रहरीले गिरफ्तार गरेको थियो ।
सन् २०१७ को अप्रिलमा एकजना उज्बेक नागरिकले ट्रक चोरी गरेर मानिसको भिडमा कुदाएका थिए । त्यस घटनामा पाँचजनाको ज्यान गएको थियो । उनी अहिले आजीवन कारावासको सजाय भोगिरहेका छन् ।
