काठमाडौं । विभागीय टोली नेपाल पुलिस क्लब काठमाडौं मेयर्स कप क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिताको फाइनलमा प्रवेश गरेको छ । बुधबार भएको आफ्नो अन्तिम लिग खेलमा काठमाडौं मेयर ११ लाई १०३ रनको फराकिलो अन्तरले पराजित गर्दै पुलिस उपाधिनजिक पुगेको हो ।
पाँच टिम सहभागी प्रतियोगितामा पुलिसले खेलेका चारमध्ये ३ खेल जित्दै ६ अंक जोडेको छ । तेस्रो खेल खेलेको काठमाडौंको भने यो लगातार दोस्रो हार हो । पहिलो खेलमा बागमतीलाई पराजित गरेको काठमाडौं दोस्रो खेलमा त्रिभुवन आर्मीसंग पराजित भएको थियो ।
पुलिसले दिएको १ सय ९८ रनको लक्ष्य पछ्याएको काठमाडौंले ३१.२ ओभरमा सबै विकेट गुमाएर ९४ रन मात्र बनाउन सक्यो । काठमाडौंका लागि कप्तान सन्दीप लामिछानेले सर्वाधिक २६, कृष्ण कार्कीले १९ र सिद्धान्त लोहनीले १८ रन जोडे । काठमाडौंका अन्य खेलाडीले दोहोरो अंक जोड्न सकेनन् ।
३३ रन हुँदा ५ विकेट गुमाएको काठमाडौंका लागि सन्दीप र कृष्ण कार्कीले ३५ रनको साझेदारी गरी रन उकास्ने प्रयास गरेका थिए । तर काठमाडौंका स्पिनरको घातक बलिङमा टिक्न सकेनन् ।
काठमाडौंलाई कम स्कोरमा रोक्न पुलिसका पवन सर्राफले ४ विकेट लिए । प्लेयर अफ दि म्याच बनेका उनले ६.२ ओभरमा १ मेडन राख्दै १६ रन मात्र खर्चिए । यस्तै दीपेन्द्र सिंह ऐरीले ८ ओभरमा ३ मेडन राख्दै १८ रन खर्चेर ३ विकेट लिए । ललित राजवंशीले ६ ओभरमा ३ मेडन राख्दै १८ रन खर्चेर २ विकेट लिए ।
कीर्तिपुरस्थित त्रिवि क्रिकेट मैदानमा टस हारेर पहिले ब्याटिङ गरेको पुलिस ४७.४ ओभरमा १९७ रनमा अलआउट भएको हो ।
ओपनर सुनिल धमला र कुशल भुर्तेलले ८ ओभरमा ५६ रनको साझेदारी गर्दै पुलिसलाई गतिलो सुरुवात दिएका थिए । तर हरि शंकर शाहले लगातार दुई विकेट लिएपछि पुलिसको रन गतिमा ब्रेक लागेको थियो । धमला २२ र कुशल ३४ रन बनाएर आउट भए । दुवैलाई विकेटकिपर खड्ग बोहरालाले स्टम्पिङ गरे ।
त्यसपछि पुलिसका कुनै पनि जोडीले अर्धशतकिय साझेदारी समेत गर्न सकेनन् । पुलिसका लागि योगेन्द्र सिंह कार्कीले सर्वाधिक ४० रन बनाए । कार्कीले ५५ बल खेल्दै ४ चौका मद्दतमा ४० रन जोडे । पवन सर्राफले २८, दीपेन्द्र सिंह ऐरीले २४, अनिल शाह ६, कप्तान मन्जित श्रेष्ठ ३, बुधबारको खेलमा डेब्यु गरेका गुल्सन झा ५ र सागर ढकाल ६ रन बनाएर आउट भए ।
बलिङतर्फ काठमाडौंका हरिशंकरले ९.४ ओभरमा २ मेडन राख्दै २८ रन खर्चेर ३ विकेट लिए । सन्दीप लामिछानेले १० ओभरमा ३५ रन खर्चेर ३ विकेट लिए । विपिन खत्रीले ९ ओभरमा १ मेडन राख्दै ५४ रन खर्चेर ३ विकेट लिए । अर्का स्पीनर अनिल खरेलले १ विकेट लिए ।
