मुसा, गाई, बाघ, खरायो, ड्रागन (मेघ), सर्प, घोडा, भेडा, बाँदर, चरा, कुकुर र सुँगुर गरी १२ वर्गमा सोनाम ल्होसारलाई विभाजन गरिएको छ । आजैबाट सुँगुर वर्ष पूरा भई मुसा वर्ष सुरु हुँदैछ ।
ल्होसारका १२ वटै वर्ष पशुपन्छीका नामबाट गणना गरिएकाले प्रकृतिपूजक रहेको अनुसन्धाताको भनाइ छ ।
अघिल्लो वर्ष बिदा कटौती गरेको सरकारले यसपालि भने सोनाम ल्होसारको अवसरमा आज तामाङ समुदायका लागि देशैभर बिदा दिएको छ । विभिन्न प्रदेश र स्थानीय तहले भने ३ दिनसम्म सार्वजनिक बिदा दिएका छन् ।
