कोभिडको बिषम परिस्थितिका वीच पनि नेपाल परिवार नियोजन संघ झापा शाखाले वाँझोपन भएका लगभग एक हजार जनालाई उपचार तथा परामर्श सेवा प्रदान गरेको छ। राजनैतिक दलका स्थानीय नेता र समाजका अगुवा महिला-पुरुषवीच गरिएको अभिमुखीकरण कार्यक्रममा सो तथ्याङ्क सार्वजनिक गरिएको हो। संघको आफ्नै सभाकक्षमा आज संघको नीति तथा कार्यक्रम,लक्षित योजना र वर्ष 2021 मा लक्षित समूहलाई पुर्‍याएको सेवा र सञ्चालित कार्यक्रमका बारेमा जानकारी गराउने क्रममा वाँझोपन भएका नौ सय ९६ जनालाई सेवा प्रदान गरिएको जनाइएको हो। संघले वितेको एक वर्षमा ११ हजार १०६ जनालाई गाइनो सेवा, ६४६ जनालाई भीआइए सेवा, ८ हजार दुई सय ३६ जनालाई गर्भवती र सुत्केरी पश्चातको सेवा, ४ हजार ४२३ जनालाई बालबालिका तथा खोप सेवा पुर्‍याएको बताइएको छ। त्यस्तै, तीन हजार सात सय ७० जनाले यूरोलोजी, ८ हजार ८ सय ४७ जनाले एसटीआई(यौन रोग) र एक सय ९९ जनाले सुरक्षित गर्भपतन सेवा तथा परामर्श लिएका छन्। संघले लक्षित गरेका सम्पूर्ण कार्य सम्पादन गरेको पनि कार्यालय प्रमुख संघकी वरिष्ठ शाखा प्रबन्धक सुजन काफ्लेले प्रस्तुत गरेको कार्य-पत्रमा उल्लेख छ।
संघको झापा शाखाका सभापति लोकनाथ भट्टराईको अध्यक्षतामा भएको अभिमुखीकरणमा कार्यालय प्रमुख वरिष्ठ शाखा प्रबन्धक काफ्लेले संघले पुर्‍याएको क्लिनिकल सेवा, परिवार नियोजन सेवा तथा वर्ष 2021मा संघले संचालन गरेका कार्यक्रमका वारेमा जानकारी गराउनु भएको थियो।
वि.स.२०३४ सालदेखि परिवार योजना र प्रजनन स्वास्थ्यको क्षेत्रमा अग्रणी भूमिका निर्वाह गर्दै आएको परिवार नियोजन संघ झापा शाखाको गतिविधिमा समाज, समुदाय र स्थानीय तहको सहयोग अपरिहार्य भएको सभापति भट्टराईले बताउनुभयो। पूर्वाधार निर्माणको क्षेत्रमा स्थानीय सहयोग जुटाएर संघद्वारा झापाको चारआलीस्थित परिवार स्वास्थ्य केन्द्रमा ९ लाख रूपैयाँको र भद्रपुरको शाखा कार्यालयमा १० लाख बराबरको भौतिक पूर्वाधारको काम भएको पनि उहाँले जानकारी दिनुभयो।
परिवार नियोजन संघ झापाले विशेषतः यौन तथा प्रजनन स्वास्थ्य, एचआईभी /एड्स, यौन रोग,पाठेघरको मुखको क्यान्सर गराउने जीवाणु जाँच (VIA) सेवा, गर्भवती तथा सुत्केरी महिलाको जाँच सेवा, वालवालिकाको खोप सेवा, किशोर किशोरी तथा पाको उमेरको प्रजनन स्वास्थ्य सेवा तथा परामर्श,अल्ट्रासाउन्ड सेवा लगायत परिवार नियोजनको सम्पूर्ण अस्थायी साधन तथा वन्ध्याकरण सेवा प्रदान गर्दै आएको कार्यालय प्रमुख काफ्लेको भनाई छ।
झापाका सातवटा पालिकामा १० वटा मोबाइल घुम्ती सेवा क्लिनिक साप्ताहिक रूपमा सञ्चालित छ भने शाखा क्लिनिक भद्रपुर, परिवार स्वास्थ्य केन्द्र चारआली र सामुदायिक क्लिनिक भद्रपुर-३ ज्ञानेचोकबाट सेवा प्रदान गर्ने गरेको जनाइएको छ। कार्यक्रममा स्थानीय तहका जनप्रतिनिधि,सामाजिक अगुवा, विभिन्न संघसंस्थाका प्रतिनिधि र संघका पदाधिकारी सदस्यहरूको सहभागिता थियो।
