नेपाल भारत मैत्री संघको केन्द्रीय अध्यक्षमा ओमप्रकाश सरावगी तेस्रो पटक निर्वाचित हुनुभएको छ। नेपालगन्जमा सम्पन्न संघको सातौं महाधिवेशनबाट सरावगी सभापतिमा आइतबार निर्वाचित हुनुभएको हो। सरावगीले वहालवाला सभापति राजकुमार सिंघानियालाई भारी मतले पराजित गर्नुभएको हो। दुईजना वीच भएको प्रतिष्पर्धामा प्रतिद्वन्द्वी सिंघानियालाई ११४ मतले पछि पार्दै सरावगी विजयी बन्नुभएको हो। बहालवाला सभापति सिंघानियाको १८९ मत आउँदा सरावगीले ३०३ मत ल्याउनुभएको छ। झापा भद्रपुर निवासी सरावगी प्रदेश १मा नेपाली काँग्रेसले मनोनयन गरेको समानुपातिक सांसद हुनुहुन्छ।
