भद्रपुर/ भद्रपुर नगरपालिका वडा नं– ८ का विद्यार्थीहरु वडा नं– ९ को बाटो भएर वडा नं– १० मा पर्ने डाँगीबारीस्थित श्री कृष्ण आधारभूत विद्यालयमा पढ्न जान्छन् । हाल ५९ जना बालबालिका सो सामुदायिक विद्यालयमा अध्ययन गर्छन् । त्यसमध्ये ९५ प्रतिशत बालबालिका विपन्न आदिबासी सन्थाल समुदायका छन् ।
गाउँ–नगरमा सिंहदरबार आयो भनिन्छ । अझ भद्रपुर नगरपालिकालाई त २०७७ सालको मंसीर ७ गते नै ‘बालमैत्री नगरपालिका’ समेत घोषणा गरिसकिएको छ । तर, यही बालमैत्री नगरपालिका क्षेत्रको सो विद्यालयमा पढ्न जाने बालबालिकाहरु फाटेका र च्यात्तिएका लुगा लाएर चप्पलै बेगर विद्यालय पुग्ने गर्दछन् । उनीहरुका निम्ति किताब, कपी, पेन्सिल, ब्याग लगायतका अत्यावश्यक शैक्षिक सामग्रीको अभाव त छँदैछ ।
विडम्बना कस्तोसम्म छ भने, विद्यालय जाने बाटो वर्षादमा हिलाम्मे हुन्छ । तर, न वडा नं– ९ मा पर्ने सो बाटोमा ९ नं वडा कार्यालयले ग्राभेलसम्म गरिदिन्छ, न त आफ्नै वडाका विद्यार्थीहरु पढ्न जाने ८ नं वडा कार्यालयले नै हिलो पुरिनेगरी बाटोमा गिटी–बालुवा हालिदिन्छ ! न त आफ्नो वडामा सञ्चालित विद्यालय पुग्ने उक्त हिले बाटोमा १० नं वडा कार्यालयले पूरपार गरेर हिँड्नलायक बनाइदिन्छ ! ती ३ वटै वडा कार्यालयहरुले विपन्न समुदायका बालबालिका पढ्ने सो विद्यालयलाई वर्षौंदेखि बेवास्ता गरिरहेको देखिन्छ ।
विद्यालयको भौतिक संरचना जीर्णोद्धार गर्नुपर्ने अवस्थामा छन् । गत वर्ष भद्रपुर नगरपालिकाको सहयोगमा विद्यालयको तर्फबाट व्यहोरिएको २० प्रतिशत लागत सहभागिता सहित करीब ३ लाख ८७ हजार रुपैयाँको लागतमा उक्त ७ कोठे विद्यालय भवनको ४ वटा कोठामा नयाँ जस्तापाताको छाना हालिएको छ भने ३ वटा कोठाको छाना पनि फेर्नै पर्ने अवस्थामा रहेको प्रधानाध्यापक गोकुलराज न्यौपानेले बताउनुभयो ।
बाल विकास कक्षा कोठामा पनि बालबालिकाका निम्ति सिकाइका नगण्य पूर्वाधार छन् । सिमेण्टेड भूइँमा ओछ्याउन ‘बालमैत्री नगर’ घोषणा भएको अढाई वर्ष गुज्रिँदासम्म नगरपालिकाले कार्पेटसम्म उपलब्ध गराएको छैन । बालबालिकालाई शिक्षण सिकाइका लागि आवश्यक अन्य सामग्रीहरु पनि कक्षाकोठामा छैनन् । सबै कक्षाकोठाहरु जीर्ण छन् । भित्ताका प्लास्टर उप्किएका छन् । झ्याल–ढोकाका चौखट मक्काएका छन्, धमिरा लागेका छन् ।
यस्तै अभाव र बेवास्ताबाट गुज्रिरहेको सो विद्यालयका विद्यार्थीहरुका लागि सगरमाथा सामुदायिक सिकाइ केन्द्र, भद्रपुर– ८ ले शैक्षिक सामग्रीहरु प्रदान गरेको छ । केन्द्रले १० हजार रुपैयाँ बराबरको कपी पेन्सिल कटर इरेजर तथा एउटा साउण्ड सिस्टम समेत विद्यालयलाई उपलब्ध गराएको हो ।
विद्यालय परिसरमा यही असार २१ गते आयोजित कार्यक्रममा प्रमुख अतिथि नगर–प्रमुख गणेश पोखरेल र केन्द्रका अध्यक्ष तोया गड्तौलाले संयुक्त रुपमा प्रधानाध्यापक न्यौपाने र विद्यालय व्यवस्थापन समितिका अध्यक्ष निरज पोखरेललाई ती सामग्रीहरु हस्तान्तरण गर्नुभएको थियो ।
गत २०६२ सालमा कृष्णप्रसाद पोखरेलको स्मृतिमा उहाँकी धर्मपत्नी भीमकुमारी पोखरेलले ५ कठ्ठा जग्गा दान गर्नुभएपछि निर्मित अस्थायी भवनमा सोही वर्ष बाल विकास कक्षा सञ्चालन भएको सो विद्यालयमा २०६४ सालबाट प्राथमिक तहको पठनपाठन शुरु भएको दाता परिवारका भरत पोखरेल ‘खार्पाली’ले जानकारी दिनुभयो ।
