कोरोना भाइरसको त्रासपछि बिरामीको सेवासुविधालाई मध्यनजर मेची अञ्चल अस्पताल भद्रपुरले उच्च निर्भरता इकाई (हाई डिपेन्डेन्सी युनिट) को सेवा विस्तार गरेको छ ।
यसअघि बिरामीका लागि राखिएको जर्नल बेडलाई परिवर्तन गरी मेची अस्पतालले उच्च निर्भरता इकाई सेवाको विस्तार गरेको हो । सो सेवाको सोमबार बिहान एक कार्यक्रमकाबीच प्रदेश १का आन्तरिक मामिला तथा सामाजिक विकास मन्त्री हिक्मतकुमार कार्कीले उद्घाटन गरेका हुन ।
उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम बोल्दै मन्त्री कार्कीले मानव जीवनसँग जोडिएको स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्रको विषयमा प्रदेश र संघीय दुवै सरकार गम्भीर रहेको बताए । मेची अस्पतालको सुधारोन्मुखतर्फ प्रदेश सरकार लागि परेको बताउँदै उनले भने– ‘अहिले स्थापना गरिएको २५ शय्याको उच्च निर्भरता इकाईलाई महिनादिन भित्रै दुई सय शय्याको बनाउने छु ।’ साथै मेची अञ्चल अस्पताललाई प्रादेशिक अस्पतालमा स्तरोन्नतिको निम्ति आफू लागीपर्ने उनले प्रतिबद्धता समेत जाहेर गरेका छन् ।
मेचीमा २५ शय्याको उच्च निर्भरता इकाई सेवा स्थापनाका लागि प्रदेश १ को सामाजिक विकास मन्त्रालयले एक करोड ८४ लाख ४ हजार ३९ रुपैयाँ बजेट विनियोजन गरेको अस्पतालका मेडिकल सुपरिटेन्डेन्ट डा. पिताम्बर ठाकुरले जानकारी दिए ।
सोही बजेटबाट उच्च निर्भरता इकाई स्थापनाका लागि आवश्यक औषधिजन्य सामग्री र उपकरण खरिद गरी सेवा विस्तार गरेको डा. ठाकुरले बताए । पहिला अस्पतालमा चार बेडको आइसियु र दुई बेडको भेन्टिलेटर थियो र जर्नल वार्डमा सामान्य बेड राखिएको थियो ।
अहिले उच्च निर्भरता इकाई स्थापना भएसँगै भेन्टिलेटरमा राख्नुपर्ने सामान्य बिरामीलाई उच्च निर्भरता इकाईमा राखेर उपचार गराउन मिल्छ, यसका लागि प्रत्येक बेडमा आवश्यक उपकरण जडान गरिएको उनले बताए । यो सेवाले गरिब तथा विपन्न समुदायलाई बढी राहत मिल्ने उनको भनाइ छ ।
अस्पताल सञ्चालक तथा व्यवस्थापन समितिका अध्यक्ष सोमनाथ पोर्तेलको अध्यक्षतामा भएको उद्घाटन कार्यक्रममा प्रदेश सांसदहरू वसन्त बानियाँ, श्रीप्रसाद मैनाली, गोपालचन्द्र बुढाथोकी, ओमप्रकाश सरावगी लगायतले मेची अस्पताल प्रदेशकै नमूना अस्पताल बनाउनुपर्नेमा जोड दिएका थिए ।
