भद्रपुर २५,असार / चालु आर्थिक वर्षमा जिल्लामा पाँच जना मान्छेले हात्ती आक्रमणमा परेर ज्यान गुमाएका छन् भने दुई वटा हात्ती मारिएका छन् । हात्ती आक्रमणमा परेर ज्यान गुमाउनेमा ज्येष्ठ नागरिक रहेको डिभिजन वन कार्यालयको तथ्याङ्कले देखाएको छ ।
उनीहरूलाई चिया बगानमा पत्ती टिप्दा, खेतमा पानी लगाउँदै र घाँस काट्दै गर्दा हात्तीले कुल्चेर मारेको डिभिजन वन कार्यालय झापाले जनाएको छ ।
हात्तीबाट मारिनेमा मेचीनगर नगरपालिका–९ की ७० वर्षीय पेना किसान, दमक नगरपालिका दमक–३ का ६३ वर्षीय गणेशप्रसाद अधिकारी, मेचीनगर नगरपालिका–१३ स्थित चारआली घर भएका ७१ वर्षीय खम्बासिंह कार्की, भद्रपुर नगरपालिका–९ बस्ने ६० वर्षीय रामबहादुर बुर्जा, कनकाई नगरपालिका ७७ वर्षीय कृष्णबहादुर भुजेल रहेको कार्यालयका सहायक वन अधिकृत राजकुमार खत्रीले बताउनुभयो ।
हात्तीले बिहान, बेलुकाको समयमा आक्रमण गरेर मान्छेलाई मारेको छ । भारतबाट दैनिक हुल बाँधेर आउने हात्तीमध्ये १३ वटा यहीँको जङ्गलमा रैथाने भएर बसेका छन् । झापामा चार दशकदेखि मानव र हात्तीबीचको द्वन्द्व निरन्तर छ ।
हात्तीको आक्रमणबाट हुने गरेको मानवीय क्षति रोकिएको छैन भने हात्ती मारिने क्रमसमेत नरोकिएको हात्ती संरक्षणकर्ता शङ्कर लुइँटेलको भनाइ छ । बुद्धशान्ति गाउँपालिका–५ आयाबारीमा करिब आठ वर्ष र अर्जुनधारा नगरपालिका–४ दहीझोडा सामुदायिक वनभित्र रहेको खोला किनारमा २५ वर्षको हात्ती यसै हप्ताभित्र मृत भेटिएको सहायक वन अधिकृत खत्रीले जानकारी दिनुभयो ।
