भद्रपुर २७, साउन / झापाको सदरमुकाम भद्रपुरमा आज भएको हाफ म्याराथुन (दौड) प्रतियोगितामा महिला धावक तर्फ चेष्ट न.–८३ की पुष्पा शेर्मा (दमक) र पुरुषतर्फ चेष्ट न.–१ का करुण रावल (बझाङ), ले प्रथम स्थान हात पारेका छन् ।
अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय युवा दिवसको अवसरमा भद्रपुर नगरपालिका नगर युवा परिषद्को आयोजनामा आज भएको दौड प्रतियोगितामा पुरुष र महिलाको अलग अलग प्रतियोगिता गरिएको थियो ।
.भद्रपुरको पर्यटकीयस्थल चन्द्रगढदेखि ऐतिहासिक धार्मिकस्थल कीचकबधसम्म पुरुषको १९.२ कि.मि. दौडमा ७० जना र भद्रपुर नगरपालिका कार्यालय अगाडिबाट कीचकबधसम्म २९ जना महिलाहरू १३ कि.मि. हाफ म्याराथनमा सहभागी रहेको परिषद्ले जनाएको छ ।
भद्रपुरका नगर–प्रमुख गणेश पोखरेलको अध्यक्षतामा नगरपालिका क्षेत्रमा क्रियाशील संघ–संस्था र क्लबहरूको सहयोगमा म्याराथुन प्रतियोगिता सम्पन्न गरिएको परिषद्का सदस्य–सचिव योगेन्द्र पौडेलले जानकारी दिनुभयो ।

एथ्लेटिक्सको नियम अनुसार गरिएको प्रतियोगितामा दुबै समूहबाट प्रथम हुनेले जनही नगद २५ हजार, दोस्रो हुनेले १५ हजार, तेस्रो हुनेले १० हजार र चौथो हुनेलाई नगद ५ हजार पुरस्कार सहित मेडल–ट्रफी एवम् प्रमाण–पत्र प्रदान गरिएको छ ।

आजको दौडमा महिला धावक तर्फ प्रथम हुने पुष्पा शेर्मा (दमक)ले ५४ मिनट ४७ सेकेण्डमा गन्तव्य हासिल गर्दा द्वितीय, तृतीय र चतुर्थ हुनेमा क्रमशः चेष्ट न.–८४ की यदिका देवान (दमक), चेष्ट न.–८१ की विन्दा राई (भद्रपुर–२) र चेष्ट न.–८५ की रिता मुर्मू ( भद्रपुर–३) रहे ।
त्यसैगरी, पुरुष तर्फ प्रथम, द्वितीय, तृतीय र चतुर्थ हुनेमा  करुण रावल (बझाङ), चेष्ट न.–३ का धनु मानन्धर (स्याङ्जा), चेष्ट न.–९ का शरद सिंह (दमक) र चेष्ट न.–३५ का सागर लिम्बू (दमक) भए भने प्रथम हुने धावकले १ घण्टा ८ मिनट २९ सेकेण्डमा निर्धारित दूरी पार गरेको पत्रकार राजबाबु शंकरले जानकारी दिनुभयो । 

‘दिगो विकास लक्ष्य र त्यसभन्दा बाहिरका लागि स्थानीय युवा कार्यहरू’ भन्ने मूल नाराका साथ यस वर्षको अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय युवा दिवस मनाइएको हो ।
युवाहरूले अगुवाइ गर्ने समुदाय स्तरका विकास लक्ष्यहरू जस्तैः गुणस्तरीय शिक्षा, जलवायु कार्य, लैङ्गिक समानता र सम्मानजनक रोजगारी प्राप्त गर्ने चुनौतिहरूलाई सम्बोधन गर्ने हेतुले संयुक्त राष्ट्र सङ्घले सन् १९९९ देखि हरेक वर्षको अगष्ट १२ तारिखलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय युवा दिवसका रूपमा मनाउने निर्णय गरेसँगै सन् २००० देखि नियमित रूपमा विश्वभर युवा दिवसमा विविध कार्यक्रम हुँदै आएका छन् ।
नेपालमा भने सरकारले २०७२ सालमा युवा परिषद् गठन गरेपछि परिषद्कै अगुवाइमा २०७३ सालदेखि यो दिवस मनाउन थालिएको हो ।
