भद्रपुर १९, वैशाख / झापाको भद्रपुर नगरपालिकाका प्रमुख जीवनकुमार श्रेष्ठले राजीनामा दिनुभएको छ। निर्वाचन आयोगले स्थानीय तहका निर्वाचित पदाधिकारीको कार्यकाल जेठ ५ बाट समाप्त हुने भने पनि नगर प्रमुख श्रेष्ठले त्यस अगावै वैशाख १९ गते सोमबार राजीनामा दिनुभएको हो।
स्थानीय तहको निर्वाचनमा प्रचार अभियानमा सहभागी हुन राजीनामा गर्नुपर्ने निर्वाचन आयोगद्वारा प्रकाशित राजपत्रमा उल्लेख भएकाले राजीनामा दिएको ‘साप्ताहिक समाचार’ लाई उहाँले जानकारी दिनुभयो। वैशाख ३० गते हुने स्थानीय तहको निर्वाचनमा अव आफू सशक्त ढङ्गले प्रचार कार्यक्रममा सहभागी हुने बताउँदै उहाँले जनताको लोकप्रिय पार्टी नेकपा एमालेका उम्मेदवारलाई जिताउन नगरवासीलाई आग्रह पनि गर्नुभएको छ।पार्टीले श्रेष्ठलाई नेकपा एमाले भद्रपुरको प्रचार कमिटीको संयोजक बनाएको छ।


राजीनामा पश्चात् पत्रकारहरूसँगको भेटघाटमा आफू निर्वाचित भएर आएपछि नगरवासीबाट पाएको स्नेह प्रति आभार प्रकट गर्दै नगरप्रमुखको हैसियतले प्रयोग गरेका सुविधा र साधन नगर पालिकामा वरबुझारथ गरेको पनि उहाँले जनाउनु भएको छ।
