दीपेन्द्रले ५३ बल खेली ८ चौका र १ छक्कासहित ७५ रन बनाए । उनीसँगैं अविजित रहेका शरद भेषावकरले ४ रन बनाए । २०१९ यता शरदको ट्वान्टी–२० अन्तर्राष्ट्रियमा यो पहिलो खेल हो ।
नेपालको सुरुवात राम्रो थिएन । ओपनर प्रदीप ऐरी १४ बलमा ४ रनमात्र बनाई आउट भए । अर्का ओपनर आसिफ शेखले ११ बलमा १४ रन बनाए । ज्ञानेन्द्र मल्ल १६ बलमा १३ रन बनाई रनआउट भए । दीपेन्द्रसँग चौथो विकेटमा ४५ रन जोडेका आरिफ शेखले २० बलमा ३ चौका प्रहार गर्दै २५ रन बनाए ।
ओमानको राजधानी मस्कटमा शुक्रबार सुरु प्रतियोगितामा यसअघि नेपालले टस जितेपछि ब्याटिङको निम्तो पाएको ओमानले १३५–६ को स्कोर बनाएको थियो ।
अल इमिरेट रंगशालामा ओमानबाट कप्तान जेशन मक्सुदले अविजित रहि सर्वाधिक ४३ रन बनाए । उनले ४१ बलको सामना गरी ४ चौका र १ छक्का प्रहार गरे । मोहम्मद नदिमले ३० बल खेली २ चौका प्रहार गरी ३१ रन बनाए ।
नेपालबाट अविनाश बोहराले सर्वाधिक ३ विकेट लिए । उनले ४ ओभरमा २६ रन खर्चे । कप्तान सन्दीप लामिछाने, कमलसिंह ऐरी र आरिफ शेखले १–१ विकेट लिए । सन्दीपको नेपालको कप्तानको रुपमा यो पहिलो खेल हो ।
नेपालबाट विवेक यादव र सागर ढकाल ट्वान्टी–२० अन्तर्राष्ट्रियमा ‘डेब्यु’ गरेका हुन् । सागरका लागि विर्सनलायक डेब्यु रह्यो । उनले ३ ओभरमा ३६ रन खर्चे । एक ओभर बलिङ गरेका विवेकले ५ रन खर्चे ।
ट्वान्टी–२० विश्वकप छनोटको तयारीमा रहेको नेपालले ओमानसँग कुशल भुर्तेल, करण केसी लगायतका खेलाडीलाई खेलाएको थिएन । नेपालले शनिबार युएईसँग खेल्ने छ ।
