भद्रपुर ४ वैशाख / नेत्ररोग विशेषज्ञ डा. सन्दुक रुइतलाई ‘श्रीप्रसाद ओली स्मृति राष्ट्रिय–अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय प्रज्ञान पुरस्कार’ प्रदान गरिएको छ ।
रूद्र–गौरी, श्री–अम्बिका ओली प्रतिष्ठान झापाद्वारा स्थापित उक्त पुरस्कार मंगलबार एक समारोहका बीच कोशी प्रदेश प्रमुख परशुराम खापुङले डा. रुइतलाई हस्तान्तरण गर्नुभयो । पुरस्कारको राशी रू. पाँच लाख रहेको छ ।
त्यसैगरी, यस वर्षको ‘देवी ओली स्मृति राष्ट्रिय बाल पुरस्कार’ झापा बुद्धशान्ति गाउँपालिका–१ डुम्रिबोटका १७ वर्षीय सबिन बाँस्कोटालाई प्रदान गरिएको छ । उहाँलाई रू. एक लाख एक हजार एक सय ११ पुरस्कार राशी तथा सम्मानपत्रसहित प्रदेश प्रमुख खापुङले प्रदान गर्नुभयो ।
यययप्रतिष्ठानका अध्यक्ष गंगाप्रसाद ओलीले मानव हित, सकारात्मक समाजिक विकासमा उल्लेख्य योगदान पुर्‍याउने व्यक्ति तथा संस्थालाई सम्मान गर्ने उद्देश्यले पुरस्कार स्थापना गरिएको बताउनुभयो । सरल र कम लागतमा आँखामा हुने मोतीबिन्दु उपचारको चिकित्सा पद्धति ‘रुइतेक्टोमी’को सुरुवात गर्नुभएका डा. रुइतलाई आँखाको उपचारमा उल्लेख्य योगदान गर्नुभएकाले सम्मान गरिएको हो ।उहाँले एक लाखभन्दा बढी दृष्टिहीनलाई आफ्नो हातले शल्यक्रिया गरेर दृष्टि प्रदान गर्नुभएको छ।

यस्तै,१७ वर्षीय सविनले इन्फ्रारेड–धारा तथा सानो हवाइ जहाज(मिनी एरोप्लेन) , रोबर्ट, ड्रोन, मोटरसाइकल, साइकल लगायतका सामग्री निर्माण गर्नुभएको छ । उहाँलाई एक लाख एक हजार एक सय एघार रुपैयाँ राशीको ‘देवी ओली स्मृति राष्ट्रिय बाल पुरस्कार’बाट पुरस्कृत गरिएको थियो ।
विज्ञान र प्रविधिको क्षेत्रमा प्रोत्साहित गर्ने उद्देश्यले सो पुरस्कार प्रदान गरिएको प्रतिष्ठानले जनाएको छ ।
कार्यक्रममा प्रतिष्ठानको गतिविधि समेटिएको स्मारिका समेत विमोचन गरिएको थियो ।
प्रतिष्ठानका अध्यक्ष गंगाप्रसाद ओलीको अध्यक्षतामा भएको कार्यक्रममा स्वागत सचिव नारायण ओलीले र सञ्चालन सञ्चारकर्मी लीला अनमोलले गर्नुभएको थियो । कार्यक्रममा पुरस्कृत व्यक्तित्व डा. रुइतका बारेमा प्रतिष्ठानका महासचिव तुलसीप्रसाद ओलीले र सविनका बारेमा नारद न्यौपानेले प्रकाश पार्नुभएको थियो ।
यसो कार्यक्रममा प्रमुख अतिथि खापुङ,सम्मानित व्यक्तित्व सन्दुक रुइत, भद्रपुर नगरप्रमुख गणेश पोखरेल, कञ्चनजङ्घा एफएमका चन्द्र भण्डारी, सविन बाँस्कोटाकी माता चेली घिमिरे बाँस्कोटाले मन्तव्य राख्नुभएको थियो । सविन बाँस्कोटाले त्यहाँ रोबोट चलाएर देखाउनु भएको थियो।
