मेची बहुमुखी क्याम्पस भद्रपुरको जग्गा २५ बर्षको लागि लिजमा लिएर भद्रपुर क्रिकेट क्लवले शुरू गरेको खेल मैदान बनाउने कामलाई तीब्र ढंगले अघि बढाइएको हो ।
क्लव र क्याम्पसबीच १९ बुँदे सम्झौता भएको छ।सम्झौता लगत्तै मैदानमा उम्रिएको घाँसलाई फाँड्ने र मैदान सम्याउने काम सकिएर अहिले पिच र पेविलियन बनाउने काम जोडतोडका साथ भइरहेको छ।
भद्रपुर नगरपालिका वडा नम्बर –८ का वडाध्यक्ष गौरव सुब्बाले भन्नुभयो- ‘ यो जिल्लाकै पहिलो र कोशी प्रदेशको दोस्रो क्रिकेट रंगशाला हो।’
उहाँले भन्नुभयो- “क्रिकेट खेलप्रति युवाहरुको क्रेज बढिरहेकोले, यसलाई मध्यनजर गरेर यहाँका उद्यमी, व्यवसायी र खेलप्रेमी महानुभावहरूको साथ र सहयोगबाट मैदान धमाधम बनाइरहेका छौं ।”
खेल मैदानका लागि ८ नम्बर वडाले गत बर्ष रु. ४ लाख र चालु आर्थिक बर्षमा समेत रु. ४ लाख बजेट विनियोजन गरेको छ। वडाध्यक्ष सुब्बाले भन्नुभयो-‘ वडाको बजेटसहित खेलप्रेमी महानुभावहरुले स्वतःस्फुर्त दिएको करिब रु.१५ लाख बढी रकमबाट खेल मैदान बनाउने काम भइरहेको छ । यसैगरी, खेल मैदानका लागि कोशी प्रदेश सरकारले समेत चालु बजेटमा रु. १५ लाख बजेट बिनियोजन गरेको छ ।’
पछिल्लो समय खेल मैदानका लागि क्रिकेट एशोसिएशन अफ नेपाल (क्यान)ले समेत सरोकार राखेको छ,भद्रपुर क्रिकेट क्लबका उपाध्यक्ष नितेश बर्मा भन्नुहुन्छ-‘ खेल मैदान बनाउन सुरु भएसँगै उद्योगी व्यवसायीका अतिरिक्त राजनीतिक दलका नेता- कार्यकर्ताले समेत चासो राखेका छन्। पछिल्लो समय प्रदेश सरकारका मन्त्री,नेपाली काँग्रेसका महामन्त्री विश्वप्रकाश शर्मा, कोसी प्रदेशका पूर्व मुख्य मन्त्री तथा काँग्रेस संसदीय दलका नेता उद्धव थापा लगायतले अवलोकन र निरीक्षण गरेर राम्रै आश्वासन
