सञ्चार तथा सूचना प्रविधि मन्त्रालयले राष्ट्रिय प्रसारण नियमवलीको एघारौँ संशोधन गर्दै इन्टरनेटको माध्यमबाट हुने प्रसारणको नियमन गर्ने व्यवस्था गरेको हो । योसँगै युट्युब च्यानलसहित इन्टरनेटको माध्यमबाट हुने प्रसारणहरूलाई पहिलो पटक कानुनी दायरामा ल्याइएको हो ।
अब अनलाइन टेलिभिजन सञ्चालनको इजाजतपत्र लिन पाँच लाख रुपैयाँ तिर्नुपर्ने नयाँ नियमावलीमा उल्लेख छ । लाइसेन्स अनिवार्य गरेसँगै अनलाइन सञ्चालकहरूले अब सरकारलाई नियमित कर पनि तिर्नुपर्ने भएकाे छ ।
