नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले हस्तक्षेप गरी राष्ट्रिय सहकारी बैंकका अध्यक्ष परिवर्तन गरिदिएको छ। अध्यक्षको उम्मेदवार नै बन्न नपाउनेमा फर्जी कागज पेस गरेर बैंकको नेतृत्वमा पुगेका केबी उप्रेतीलाई राष्ट्र बैंकले हटाउन लगाएको हो ।
राष्ट्र बैंकको हस्तक्षेपपछि उप्रेतीको ठाउँमा गिरीलाई अध्यक्ष चयन गरिएको राष्ट्र बैंक स्रोतले जानकारी दिएको छ ।
‘राष्ट्र बैंकले उप्रेतीलाई हटाएर सञ्चालक समितिका सदस्य मध्येबाट योग्यता पुग्ने व्यक्तिलाई अध्यक्ष बनाउन निर्देशन दिएको थियो । त्यही अनुसार गिरीलाई सञ्चालक समितिले अध्यक्ष चयन गरेको हो ।आज बस्ने साधारणसभाले त्यसलाई अनुमोदन गर्नेछ’ राष्ट्र बैंक स्रोतले भनेको छ ।
उप्रेती पछिल्लो पटक १६ पुस २०७९ मा सम्पन्न बैंकको १९औं वार्षिक साधारणसभाबाट बैंकको अध्यक्षमा निर्वाचित हुनुभएको थियो । सदस्य संस्था र संघबाट लिएको ऋण तिर्न नसकी भाखा नघाएको व्यक्ति निर्वाचनको उम्मेदवार हुन नसक्ने योग्यता तोकिएको थियो ।
उप्रेती अध्यक्ष भएको आइडियल यमुना हाम्रो सगरमाथा सहकारीले राष्ट्रिय सहकारी बैंकमा करिब ३० करोड रुपैयाँ ऋण तिर्न बाँकी थियो, जसको सावाँ ब्याज नतिरी सो ऋण भाखा नाघेको अवस्था थियो । यस्तो अवस्थामा उप्रेती अध्यक्षको उम्मेदवार नै बन्न पाउँदैन थिए ।
तर, उनले त्यो कुरा नखुलाई काठमाडौं जिल्ला सहकारी संघको तर्फबाट उम्मेदवारी हालेका थिए । त्यसरी यथार्थ लुकाएर पेस गरेको फर्जी दस्तावेजलाई बैंकको निर्वाचन समितिले समेत स्वीकार गरेको पाइएको राष्ट्र बैंक समेतको सहभागितामा सहकारी विभागले गरेको अनुगमनका क्रममा खुलेको थियो ।
उप्रेतीले आफैं अध्यक्ष रहेको हाम्रो सगरमाथा बहुउद्देश्यीय सहकारीले ऋण नलिएको वा लिएको ऋण तिर्न नसकी भाखा नघाएको अवस्था नरहेको व्यहोरासहितको पत्र मनोनयन सम्बन्धी फाइलमा समावेश गरेका थिएनन् ।
उक्त साधारणसभामा सञ्चालक समितिको निर्वाचनका लागि बैंक सञ्चालक समितिले अधिवक्ता सुमन पौडेलको संयोजकत्वमा निर्वाचन उपसमिति गठन गरेको थियो ।
राष्ट्र बैंकले यही आधारमा उप्रेतीलाई पदबाट हटाउन सञ्चालक समितिलाई निर्देशन दिएको स्रोतले बतायो ।
