अनवरुल हकको राजीनामापछि कट्टेललाई उक्त जिम्मेवारी दिइएको हो । २०१५ देखि महासचिव रहेका हकले व्यक्तिगत कारण देखाउँदै राजीनामा दिएका थिए।
झापा भद्रपुर-८ निवासी कट्टेलले अप्रिल १ अर्थात २०८२ बैशाख १८ गतेदेखि आफ्नो जिम्मेवारी सम्हाल्नु हुनेछ । यसअघि १७ वर्षसम्म कट्टेल एसियाली फुटबल महासंघ (एएफसी) मा दक्षिण एसियाको एकाइ प्रमुखका रूपमा काम गर्नु भएको छ ।
‘म महासचिवको रूपमा साफसँग जोडिन पाउँदा अत्यन्तै खुसी छु । यो मेरो लागि ठूलो अवसर र चुनौती पनि हो । फुटबलमा आफ्नो करियर सुरु गरेदेखि नै मैले दक्षिण एसियालाई नजिकबाट नियालीरहेको छु,’ ‘मलाई यो भूमिकामा अवसर दिएकोमा साफका अध्यक्ष श्री काजी सलाहुद्दीन र कार्यकारी समितिका सदस्यहरूलाई धन्यवाद दिन चहान्छु ’ कट्टेलको प्रतिक्रिया सार्वजनिक भएको छ।
