भद्रपुर २, असार — भारतको उत्तर–पूर्वी बिहार र उत्तर बंगाललाई जोड्ने नयाँ अररिया–गलगलिया रेलखण्डमा आज असार २ गते अर्थात् १६ जून २०२५ मा पहिलोपटक स्पीड ट्रायल अर्थात् परीक्षण रेल परिचालन गरिने भएको छ। बिहान ५ बजेदेखि बेलुकी १० बजेसम्म सञ्चालन हुने यो ट्रायललाई लिएर सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रमा उत्साहको वातावरण छ।
११० किलोमिटर लम्बाइको यो नयाँ रेलमार्ग निर्माण कार्य सकिएको छ र मालवाहक रेल पहिले नै चलाइएको छ। तर ,अब पहिलोपटक यात्रु रेलको स्पीड ट्रायल हुन लागेको हो। यदि ट्रायल सफल भयो भने जुन महिनाको अन्त्यसम्म CRS (Commissioner of Railway Safety) को निरीक्षण हुने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ, जसपछि नियमित रेल सेवा सुरु हुने बाटो खुल्नेछ। भारतीय अखबार दैनिक भास्करको अनुसार, यस परियोजनालाई सामरिक महत्वको परियोजनाका रूपमा भारत सरकारद्वारा अघि बढाइएको हो। नयाँ रेलमार्गले उत्तर–पूर्वी बिहारका अररिया, फारबिसगंज, दरभंगा लगायतका सहरहरूलाई उत्तर बंगाल तथा उत्तर–पूर्व भारतसँग सिधा रेल सम्पर्कमा ल्याउनेछ।
नयाँ रेलखण्डमा एक हाल्टसहित ११ वटा स्टेशनहरू निर्माण गरिएको छ, जसमा मुख्यरूपमा गलगलिया, ठाकुरगंज, भोगडावर, कादोगांव, पौआखाली, तुलसिया, बीबीगंज, टेढ़ागाछ, कालियागंज, बरदाहा (हाल्ट), लक्ष्मीपुर (कुर्साकाटा), बांसबाड़ी र रहमतपुर रहेका छन्।
भारतीय पत्रिकामा रहमतपुरबाट दुई फरक दिशातर्फ रेललाइन विस्तार गरिएको छ—एक अररिया कोर्ट हुँदै पूर्णिया जंक्शन र कटिहारतर्फ र अर्को आरएस अररिया हुँदै फारबिसगंज र जोगबनीसम्म ।
यो रेलमार्ग सञ्चालनमा आएपछि सीमावर्ती झापा, विशेषगरी भद्रपुर, कचनकवल, हल्दिबारी , मेचीनगर तथा आसपासका नागरिकहरूलाई पनि नयाँ अवसर, व्यापारिक सम्भावना र आवागमनमा सहजता आउने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
